A 1-minute posture and mobility pair for your neck and shoulders – perfect for anyone who's been staring at a screen so long their upper body forgot it could move.
Looking up and down takes your cervical spine through its full range, loosening the front and back of the neck in a slow, deliberate rhythm. Then raising your hands overhead extends that movement downward, opening the shoulders and encouraging your upper back to straighten. The sequence has a logical flow to it – you free the neck first, then give the shoulders permission to follow.
Studies on seated stretching interventions show that combining cervical and overhead shoulder movements can reduce both neck stiffness and perceived fatigue during long work sessions – a small time investment that pays off in how alert and comfortable you feel afterward.
